Flights HiSky

HiSky is a Moldovan-Romanian airline operating scheduled and charter flights from Chisinau, Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Timisoara, and Iasi. The carrier serves routes to European countries, Israel, and the USA.

Fare groups and what they include

The choice of fare determines baggage allowance and check-in conditions. HiSky offers five main service classes:

BASIC

• Hand baggage only: 1 item (40×30×20 cm), up to 8 kg.
• Check-in: online (free), at the airport (paid). (When purchasing on Zbor.md, we handle the check-in for you)
• Seat selection: paid.

CLASSIC

• Hand baggage: 1 item (40×30×20 cm), up to 8 kg.
• Large hand baggage (trolley or small wheeled suitcase size S): 1 item (50×40×25 cm), up to 10 kg.
• Check-in: online and at the airport (free).

PREMIUM

• Hand baggage: 1 item (40×30×20 cm), up to 8 kg.
• Checked baggage: 1 item up to 23 kg (total dimensions 158 cm).
• Check-in: online and at the airport (free).
• Additional: free seat selection, priority boarding.

PREMIUM PLUS

• Small hand baggage: up to 8 kg.
• Trolley: up to 10 kg.
• Checked baggage: 1 item up to 23 kg.
• Free airport check-in.
• Free seat selection and priority boarding.

BUSINESS

• Small hand baggage: up to 8 kg.
• Trolley: up to 10 kg.
• Checked baggage: 2 items of 32 kg each.
• Onboard menu, seat selection, priority boarding.

Baggage policy

Compliance with size and weight limits is strictly controlled.

Hand baggage

• Small bag (free for all): up to 40×30×20 cm, weight up to 8 kg. Placed under the seat in front.
• Large hand baggage (trolley): up to 50×40×25 cm, weight up to 10 kg. Placed in the overhead bin. Available with Classic, Premium Plus, Business fares or for an additional fee.

Checked baggage

• Standard weight: up to 23 kg (Premium and Premium Plus fares).
• Business class: up to 32 kg.
• Maximum size: the sum of three dimensions must not exceed 158 cm.

Flight check-in

The check-in procedure depends on the fare and the departure airport.

Online check-in (Information may change, please confirm with the operator)

• Opening usually 72 hours before departure (for Basic fare — 24 hours).
• Closing 3 hours before departure.
• Exceptions: flights from Tel Aviv (TLV), New York (JFK), and London (STN) — closing 4 hours before departure.

Important: passengers with the Basic fare must complete online check-in. Airport check-in for this fare is paid.

Seat selection (Please check with the operator, fares may change)

• Row 1: 30 euros.
• Row 2 and emergency exits: 25 euros.
• Standard seats: 10–15 euros.
• Transatlantic flights: from 20 to 49 euros.

Traveling with children (Please confirm with the operator, rules may change)

• Stroller: free transport of one foldable stroller for children up to 4 years old. Used up to the aircraft stairs.
• Infant baggage: 1 item up to 10 kg, total dimensions up to 115 cm.

Transport of animals

Only cats and dogs are allowed and only in the aircraft cabin (PETC).

• Maximum weight including container up to 8 kg.
• Container size must not exceed 50×40×25 cm.
• Minimum age: 7 months.
• Required documents: passport, microchip, rabies vaccination, health certificate.
• Fee: 50 euros per flight segment.

Country restrictions

• United Kingdom: transport of animals is prohibited.
• Ireland: permission from the veterinary service is required.
• Israel: flight authorization and a rabies antibody test are required at least 2 days before departure.

Practical questions and answers

Name error correction is possible for an additional fee. Full passenger change is not allowed for all fares.

Ticket refund depends on the fare. Basic — non-refundable. Higher fares allow refunds or changes with a penalty.

Prohibited items knives, scissors with blades longer than 6 cm, tools, sports equipment, liquids over 100 ml.

Sports equipment is paid separately and requires prior approval.

Flight delay passengers are provided assistance in accordance with applicable aviation regulations.
