Flights from Poland to Chisinau

Flights from Chisinau to Wrocław: direct Wizz Air flight

Wizz Air flies from Chisinau to Wrocław. The flight is direct and takes about two hours. Tickets on this route start from €24, and the exact price depends on the date: the monthly calendar is on the page above. Here we have collected what people usually remember only after buying: how to get from the airport to the city, what documents you need, how much money to take and what to bring home. Zbor.md has been selling air tickets since 2009 and works as an IATA agency, so you can ask us directly about dates and baggage. The data on this page was checked on 21 September 2026.

When do planes fly from Chisinau to Wrocław

There are two flights a week. According to data from the end of August 2026, they are on Thursday and Sunday, and the frequency will stay the same in the winter schedule. Options with a connection in other cities will be shown by the search.

A single bus ticket is valid on one vehicle and without transfers. If you plan to take a tram after the bus, buy a 60- or 90-minute time ticket: it allows any number of transfers. There is also a day ticket. The validation machine is on board, and you can pay by bank card on the bus. From the main station to the Market Square it is about a kilometre and a half, which is no problem on foot even with a small suitcase.

It is best to order a taxi through an app or from licensed companies. Ignore offers from private drivers in the arrivals hall. FlixBus also stops at the airport: the line from Szczecin to Zakopane runs via Wrocław, Katowice and Krakow. It is not suitable for getting into the city, but it will help if you need to go further across the country.

Wrocław airport: what you need to know right after landing

A flight from Moldova arrives from outside the Schengen area, so passport control comes first. Since 10 April 2026 the Entry/Exit System (EES) has been fully operating in all Schengen countries: on your first entry you will be photographed and fingerprinted (children under 12 are not fingerprinted). There can be queues on such days, so do not book a train or bus connection right after landing.

The arrivals hall has ATMs of major Polish banks (PKO BP, Pekao) and of the Euronet and Planet Cash networks, as well as a Money Exchange Poland exchange office. There is also a tourist information desk with maps and brochures. If your luggage is lost, call the airport lost property office: +48 71 35 81 387. A Baltona Duty Free shop operates in the departure zone, but liquids in carry-on luggage are still restricted, and bottles bought in the city are best put straight into checked baggage.

Do you need a visa and an international passport to travel from Moldova to Poland

Can you go to Wrocław without a visa

Yes. Citizens of Moldova with a biometric passport travel to Poland without a visa if the stay is no longer than 90 days in any 180 days. The right of entry is still checked by the border guard, so keep your documents and money at hand.

Do you need an international passport to fly to Wrocław

Yes. The Moldovan internal ID card is not valid for travel to Poland, a biometric international passport is required. It must be valid for at least three more months after your return date and must have been issued no more than ten years ago. If you hold citizenship of an EU country, for example Romania, the rules for EU citizens apply: usually a passport or ID card of that state is enough. Check this with the airline before departure.

ETIASNot yetThe system has not launched yet, applications are not accepted

There are a lot of rumours about ETIAS. It is an electronic authorisation for visa-free travellers to Europe. The launch was expected in the last quarter of 2026, but the official EU website currently gives no date and says the system is not operating. When it starts working, you will have to apply only on the official EU website. Sites that already take money for "applications" today are not processing anything.

Currency, cards and mobile connection: what to take with you

In Wrocław you pay in zlotys (zł, PLN). On 21 September 2026 you get about 4.35 zł for 1 €. Euros are, as a rule, not accepted in shops and cafés, but cards work almost everywhere, including contactless. Cash is useful at flea markets and for small purchases. It is convenient to change money at city exchange offices (kantor), so compare the rate on the sign. If an ATM offers to charge the amount in euros or lei, choose to pay in zlotys: that way the rate is calculated by your bank, not by the ATM.

Since 1 January 2026 Moldova has been part of the "Roam Like at Home" zone. Subscribers of Orange, Moldcell and Moldtelecom use the minutes, SMS and mobile data from their plan in EU countries at no extra charge, within fair use rules. Limits differ between operators, so check the terms with yours before departure. The emergency number in Poland, as everywhere in the EU, is 112.

Markets, flea markets and trading Sundays

The most atmospheric market in the city, Hala Targowa on Piaskowa Street, was built in 1906 and 1908 in the Art Nouveau style. Inside they sell vegetables, fish, sausages and flowers, and there are cafés. It is open Monday to Saturday from 8:00 to 18:30 and closed on Sundays. Some of the pavilions stand empty, so go for the views and smells, not for sensations.

Lovers of antiques will enjoy "Giełda Staroci pod Iglicą" near Hala Stulecia, where they sell furniture, tableware, paintings and jewellery. The dates change, so check the schedule on the city website. There is also a flea market near St. Mary Magdalene Church on Szewska Street and the Sunday market "Na Młynie" at 33 Poprzeczna Street: it is open every Sunday. Cash is needed more often at such markets than in shops. If you buy antiques, ask the seller whether an export permit is required.

An important rule: in Poland, large shops are closed on most Sundays. Exceptions are pharmacies, Żabka, petrol stations, bakeries, restaurants and shops at stations and airports. The full list of trading Sundays for 2026 is short, in December they are the 6th, 13th and 20th. Shops are also closed on public holidays: 1 and 11 November, as well as 24, 25 and 26 December. Since flights operate on Sunday, it is best to do all your shopping on Saturday.

What you need to know about Wrocław itself if you are flying from Chisinau

The city centre is compact, and you will cover most of the route on foot: the Market Square, Ostrów Tumski with the cathedral, and next to it Hala Stulecia, the only site in the city on the UNESCO list. In the Panorama Racławicka you will find a canvas 114 metres long and 15 metres high, and you can get in only by booking a session. There are more than a thousand dwarfs in the city, so do not try to find them all: choose a two-hour route from the Market Square along Świdnicka Street and count two dozen figurines.

The language will be familiar if you speak Russian, but Polish has its traps. Here are the most common ones.
