Top-rated airlines worldwide in 2024

Qatar Airways has been voted the best airline in the world at the 2024 World Airline Awards. This marks the eighth time Qatar Airways has received the "Airline of the Year" title in the 25-year history of the SkyTrax awards, according to reports.

The World Airline Awards began in 1999 and are noted for their independence and impartiality, as stated by the organizers. These awards are based on surveys conducted among passengers worldwide. Qatar Airways also won top awards for Best Business Class in the world, Best Business Lounge in the world, and Best Airline in the Middle East. Over 350 airlines participated in the survey.

The 2023 winner, Singapore Airlines, ranked second, followed by Emirates in third place. ANA All Nippon Airways, Japan's largest airline, secured fourth place, with Cathay Pacific Airways in fifth place. Singapore Airlines was recognized for having the best cabin crew in the world and their First Class suites. Singapore Airlines also received the award for Best Airline in Asia.

AirAsia was awarded the title of Best Low-Cost Airline in the world, a distinction it has held every year since 2010. Scoot received an award for Best Long-Haul Low-Cost Airline in the world. Spanish airline Volotea won the award for Best Low-Cost Airline in Europe. Transavia ranked second in Europe, followed by Vueling in third place.
