FLYONE expands its fleet with two new Airbus A320 aircraft and conquers new horizons
The airline FLYONE continues to strengthen its position in the aviation market of the Republic of Moldova and announces the expansion of its fleet with two Airbus A320 aircraft, which will be leased from AVOLON. The delivery of the new aircraft is scheduled for this month, both planes are currently in Tampa undergoing painting and will be registered in Moldova with numbers ER-00011 and ER-00004.
Details about the new aircraft
ER-00011: Made its first flight on February 21, 2013, is 12 years and 1 month old, configured with 180 seats (economy class), powered by two CFMI CFM56-5B4/3 engines. Before joining the FLYONE fleet, it operated for Monarch Airlines and Frontier Airlines.
ER-00004: Made its first flight on March 26, 2013, is 12 years old, has the same configuration with 180 seats and identical engines. This aircraft was also previously used by the same companies and is currently being painted before delivery to FLYONE.
With this acquisition, the FLYONE fleet remains one of the youngest Airbus fleets in the Republic of Moldova, with an average age of about 13 years.
Current fleet and company development
Besides these two aircraft that will soon arrive, FLYONE already operates seven other Airbus planes: four A320 models (YR-FIA, ER-00008, ER-00010, and ER-00007 — the latter operated for FLYONE Armenia) and three A321 models (YR-FIB, YR-FIC, and ER-00009).
Launched in 2016, FLYONE quickly became the largest airline in Moldova. In 2022, it became a member of the prestigious International Air Transport Association (IATA) and received the air operator certificate issued by the Romanian Civil Aeronautical Authority, strengthening its position in the international market.
In the same year, the company transported over one million passengers and launched six new destinations. In 2023, FLYONE renewed its IOSA certification, the highest standard of safety in operational management.
2023 brought new records for the Moldovan operator — reaching 2 million passengers, launching 14 new routes, and expanding the fleet with three more Airbus A321 aircraft.

Today, FLYONE is the largest airline operator in the Republic of Moldova, offering flights to more than 60 destinations. These include major cities such as Manchester, Prague, Dubai, Rome, Milan, Berlin, Tel Aviv, Paris, Istanbul, Yerevan, Brussels, Amsterdam, Barcelona, and many others.
